A sick song, a sick edit, and a sick skater, Ever since WKND got a hold of Jordan Taylor he has been putting out shameless amounts of footage. I guess leaving Toy Machine was the right thing for Jordan after all.
Marius Syvanen – How I Roll
Marius Syvanen was the name that drew us to this clip and Wes Kremer’s trick made it all more than worth it. All we can say is WEEDMAPS makes sense for such a big portion of the skate and skate related community out there that it is a wonder that nobody thought of it sooner. Also, Kudo’s for connecting skating, analog photography and smoking weed in the title.
New Balance – Underground
New Balance is doing some great things shoe wise, skating wise, team wise and of course filming wise, Russel Houghten is well known for his cinematographic experiments in the skateboard world. For this one, the guys went on a little trip and the result is very nice, to say the least.
Franky Villani – Tessellation
Franky Villani is one of the newer Black Label picks he joins a long line of unquestionably great picks, From Dill, Gino to Grosso they often had the best rep the brand. Times have changed though, right now the Label is not at its best but there is always hope for a comeback.

New Balance Numeric liefert wieder einmal einen Clip der absoluten Superklasse ab – diesmal hat sich das gesamte Team um Arto Saari, Tom Knox, Jordan Taylor, Tyler Surrey, Jordan Trahan, PJ Ladd, Marquise Henry, Jack Curtin, Tom Karangelov und Levi Brown auf einem kalifornischen Schulhof herumgetrieben und wurde dabei von einer Drone begleitet, die wirklich eindrucksvolle Aufnahmen liefert. Die Produktion von Russel Houghten erinnert ein wenig an das “Pretty Sweet” Intro, ist aber absolut sehenswert: Schon allein der Kickflip von Levi Brown am Handicap Bump…
New Balance Numeric: Quids In
Großbritannien hat im letzten Jahr so etwas wie einen kleinen Boom in der Skateboardwelt gehabt und einige Teams haben die Insel besucht. Auch das New Balance Numeric Team um Arto Saari, Tom Knox, Tom Karangelov, Jordan Taylor, Jordan Trahan, Levi Brown, Marquise Henry, Tyler Surrey und Jack Curtin war da und hat einen fast 10 minütigen Clip von der Reise mitgebracht. “Quids in” überzeugt mit hochkarätigem Skateboarding, guter Musikauswahl und epischen Drohnenaufnahmen: Da passt alles!
JENKEM – An Ode to Arto Saari: “Ground Control”
Es gibt wenige Skater die so stark polarisieren konnten, dass sie auch nach über einem Jahrzehnt noch im Gespräch sind. Arto Saari ist eigentlich noch gar nicht so alt, wie er manchmal aussieht. Trotzdem war es für die Jungs vom Jenkem Mag an der Zeit, dem sympathischen Finnen eine Ode zu widmen. Skateboarding kann so romantisch sein!
Tom Karangelov – Out Of Sync
Auf der Zero Website wird er zwar noch als Amateur gelistet, es gilt aber als sicher, dass Tom Karangelov die Company von Jamie Thomas längst verlassen hat. Wie dem auch sei, für Thunder Trucks hat Tom jedenfalls diesen 2 Minuten Clip gefilmt und wir sind jetzt endgültig hellwach. Turn up the Volume!
New Balance Numeric – Pinnytown
Kurz vor Einbruch des harten Winters an der amerikanischen Ostküste, begab sich das Team von New Balance Numeric um Arto Saari, PJ Ladd, Levi Brown, Tom Karangelov, Tyler Surrey, Jordan Taylor, Jordan Trahan und dem Engländer Tom Knox nach New York und Boston. Gefilmt wurde ausschliesslich mit Red Kameras von Russel Houghten, gefeatured wurde die Tour in der April Ausgabe von Transworld. Zum Video klick aufs Bild.
“Fisheye” A Russel Houghten Film
Russel Houghten ist bekannt für schöne Bilder. Jetzt kam ihm die hervorragende Idee eine GoPro Hero 3 in einem Aquarium zu platzieren und einige Skater samt Aquarium auf ihren Kreuzzügen durch L.A. zu folgen. Mit dabei sind u.a. PJ Ladd, Jordan Taylor und Arto Saari.

Neues aus dem Hause New Balance Numeric – in folgendem Video skaten unter anderem Levi Brown, Arto Saari und PJ Ladd wie am Schnürchen gezogen. Sehr smoother Beat und Trick-auf-Trick Folge begleitet den in schwarz-weiß gehaltenen Clip.
Arto auf New Balance?
Heutzutage sind Gerüchte nicht nur durch Worte, sondern auch über Instagram und damit auch fotografisch dargestellt. Atiba Jefferson spielt “Stille Post”, ganz heimlich. Ob es nun doch nur Arto Saaris Freizeittreter sind, bleibt abzuwarten.
New Balance Numeric Line – die Schuhe
Es ist nicht so, dass die Welt auf New Balance Numeric Schuhe ansich gewartet hätte, doch nach Bekanntgabe, dass die Traditions-Sneaker Company eine eigene Linie zusammen mit Jamie Thomas auf den Markt bringt, irgendwie doch. Nun wurden die ersten Modelle der Öffentlichkeit präsentiert. Hier die ersten Bilder.
